The Pictoura website is made available by Pictoura, LLC, a New York limited liability company (“Pictoura”). Pictoura respects your privacy and recognizes your need for appropriate protection and management of your personal information, such as your name, email address and mailing address. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how your personal information is collected and used by us. The Pictoura website (, or the “Website”) features over 100,000 modern and historic images from photographers around the world. When you upload images to either the “World Library” or a “Photographer Gallery” on the Website, we may publish your name or your company’s name in connection with a photo credit on the Pictoura Website or in connection with other uses of your photographs permitted by our TOU.

Depending on your level of membership, the Pictoura website may also publish information about you in a “Photographer Gallery” featuring your images, biographical information about yourself and your work, your contact information or that of your agent or dealer. You may access, edit or remove this information at any time.

If you participate in our Website’s blog, we will publish the display name and avatar that you create for yourself at the time you create a Pictoura User Account.

You are in control of what information about yourself and your work you share with us and with other Pictoura users. Visit your user account page to configure your account settings to reflect your privacy preferences.


Personal information collected by Pictoura is information voluntarily provided to us by you when you create a User Account, upgrade a membership level, upload images or change your account information, or when you subscribe to our digital photography, media hosting or other services, post a resume, sell or purchase prints or other products, or participate in any survey or contest on the Website. Currently, information that we save about you includes your name, your display name, your email address, and any biographical information that you may choose to upload to an “About the Photographer” page. If you purchase products or services, we will also collect your address for the purpose of shipping. Your mailing address is deleted within a reasonable period after fulfillment of your order.

When you order items from the Website, your credit card information is sent directly to our third-party payment processor, over a secure SSL-encrypted connection. The Pictoura Website uses “cookies”. A cookie is a small string of text that a website can send to your browser, for the purpose of enhancing your visit to the website and future visitor experience. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive, pass on computer viruses, or capture your email address. We use cookies to personalize your site visit, securely store your user ID and password, and identify which parts of a site have been visited or keep track of other information that you voluntarily provide. Pictoura publishes your display name and avatar when you chose to participate in the blog on our website. We also publish any biographical information that you chose to upload to your “Photographer Gallery” page. Pictoura does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. We will not disclose your personal information to others without your express permission, or as otherwise permitted by this Privacy Policy. Pictoura does not supplement the personal information provided by you with information collected from other sources.

We may share personal information with third-party vendors who assist us in performing internal and other functions necessary to operate our business. When you provide us with your name, email or other personal information, these are stored in our secure database in encrypted format. When your personal information is sent between the web browser and the server, it is also encrypted using modern encryption standards in order prevent unauthorized parties from viewing such information while it is being transferred.

Your credentials are never shared with any Pictoura partners; you only authenticate on the Pictoura site or apps.

Access by you to your personal information is available through a password and unique user ID selected by you. Your password is encrypted. We strongly recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.

At any time, you may request to view or update the personal information that is associated with your account and stored by Pictoura. You may also request that we correct, delete some or all personal and/or non-personal information that we have collected about you. We will promptly fulfill your request and provide you confirmation when the information has been deleted. You may access any uploaded biographical information by accessing your user account page. Pictoura is committed to the protection and preservation of children’s privacy. Parents and guardians of any child under 13 have the right to consent to Pictoura’s collection and use of personal information from their child without consenting to its disclosure to third parties. Parents have the right to review personal information collected from their child and also the right to have such information, or any portion of it, deleted. If the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner so that the Website can continue to operate.
